Position Summary: Ceres Imaging is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Sales and Services to lead our global sales team as we drive growth across our product lines. The candidate will have a strong background in senior sales leadership, and a deep understanding of how data and analytics drive value in the agricultural “ecosystem” in which we operate. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing collaborative sales strategies across the business sectors, managing key customer relationships, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company growth targets.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing international sales team
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including large agribusinesses and insurance companies.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute effective sales campaigns.
- Provide insights and feedback to the product development team to ensure our solutions meet customer needs.
- Oversee the entire sales process, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing deals.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through exceptional service and support.
- Work collaboratively with the product team, sharing new feature requests and contributing ideas for the future state of product roadmap
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and challenges.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Data Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior sales leadership roles, with a proven track record of success. Demonstrable comprehensive understanding of agribusiness and related insurance markets.
- Strong knowledge of software data and analytics, and how they apply to agricultural practices.
- Demonstrated ability to sell complex solutions to large enterprises.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Prior experience:
- Managing International Sales & CS teams in ag or related industry
- Working with small and medium sized technology companies selling data and analytics products to large Agribusiness and financial services companies
- Existing industry relationships with agricultural land management companies would be a distinct advantage.
Compensation:
- Starting range is $185,000 annual base, plus uncapped commissons, bonus opportunities and equity
