Q CELLS Enable is the EPC branch of Qcells for the Commercial and Industrial market. Our mis-sion is to be a world class designer and installer of large-scale PV and ESS systems throughout the US. We are based in NYC. Our position as a leading module manufacturer means we are able to offer end to end solutions for project developers. We are expanding our offerings and have several open positions currently.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Staff Accountant will provide accounting and finance support to the Corporate Finance de-partment and will work closely with the Finance Manager. This position reports to the CFO, Fi-nance Manager or another senior management personnel that the President or CFO of the Company may designate.
This position is located in New York, NY, and the ideal candidate will be within commutable dis-tance to the New York office location. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm.
- Ensure the timely end-of-month closing and proper maintenance of the general ledger and all related sub ledgers. This includes preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations to assure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company pol-icy;
- Handle the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and preparation of journal entries.
- Send invoices for ongoing projects to customers and communicate with customers for timely collection
- Prepare end-of-month account reconciliations and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information;
- Prepare PBC for a financial audit and communicate with the auditor
- Knowledge of federal, state and local Sales and US tax filings.
- Monthly and quarterly sales and use tax filing
- Assist in preparing federal, state, and local tax filing
- Accurately prepare special financial reports by collecting, and summarizing account in-formation and trends;
- Review employees’ expense reports and posts journal entries;
- Prepare bank reconciliation, daily and weekly cash flows report;
- Prepare checks and wire transfers for payment;
- Open and maintain bank accounts for business transactions and prepare required documents for KYC.
- Process general, administrative, and non-operating expenses invoices;
- Identify and implement improvements to existing processes, and display the willingness to take on special projects both individually and as part of a team;
- Work with non-U.S. based parent company, subsidiaries, and other affiliated companies;
- Perform all other duties and special projects, as assigned by Management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related field;
• Minimum of 4 years of professional accounting experience, required;
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and IFRS
• Hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and ledger management;
• Experience with mid to large scale organization required
• Previous experience working in a multinational company, preferred;
• Experience with mid to large scale organization required
• Strong understanding of economic and banking processes, required;
• Experience using SAP;
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting, preferred;
• Hands-on experience in sales and use tax filing.
• Previous experience working in solar or renewable energy industry, preferred
• Bilingual Korean/English preferred;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and explain complex information clearly;
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook;
• Accuracy and attention to detail;
• Strong, self-motivated team player;
• Able to cope with pressure; and
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving dynamic, environment.
