With proven capabilities across the solar and battery storage value chain, HQC US minimizes uncertainty and risk and helps customers achieve a higher return on their investment in renewable energy.
HQC US is seeking a Counsel to assist with its growing Commercial & Industrial engineering, procurement, and construction business. HQC US’s Commercial & Industrial practice is in its infancy and as such, is uniquely situated to grow within the Commercial & Industrial space and the company as HQC US pursues its goal of being a fully integrated renewable energy provider. The chosen candidate will join a legal team that handles the full life cycle of renewable energy projects from development to sale.

The Counsel’s primary focus will be supporting HQC US with legal needs arising in connection with the engineering, procurement and construction of solar, solar plus battery energy storage, and standalone battery energy storage projects in the Commercial & Industrial space, but will also have the opportunity to assist on Utility Scale projects. These needs include reviewing, drafting, and effectively negotiating EPC Agreements, service contracts, subcontracts, supply contracts, and other construction-related agreements.  This position reports to the General Counsel or another senior management personnel that the President of the Company may designate.  This is a full-time position that reports to HQC US’s Irvine office and may require some limited travel.  Preference will be given to candidates located in Southern California; however, this position may be remote for the right candidate.
