Position Overview
EnFin seeks an experienced credit risk manager with prior experience in compliance and credit risk to assist our Head of Risk with risk initiatives for the EnFin consumer lending platform. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with compliance, credit & risk management experience gained through working with financial institutions or regulators. Experience in the fintech lending sector is a plus. This employment opportunity is eligible for remote work, however, Hybrid or Onsite work may be required for candidates residing within a commutable distance to any of our corporate offices in the following locations: San Francisco, CA; Irvine, CA; and Teaneck, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other team members in operations and IT to ensure implementation of compliance & risk policies and procedures
- Interact with regulators to explain and gain buy-in on EnFin initiatives, models and operations
- Articulate EnFin requirements to executives, technology and operations teams.
- Key point of contact for coordination with regulators/lending partners with the ability to determine and differentiate between “nice to have” and “must have” compliance requirements
- Develop recommendations to adjust policies by analyzing changing compliance landscape
- Work with operations and technology on risk initiatives
- Assist the Director of Credit and Compliance Manager in managing risk policies and procedures
- Provide compliance support and ensure key compliance initiatives are operationalized
- Assist the risk team in implementing, designing and conducting tests of internal controls and provide findings to senior executives
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years experience in risk management and compliance
- Demonstrated track record in consumer lending /compliance auditing, operations, or regulation
- Strong understanding of compliance regulations as it pertains to consumer lending industry
- Prior experience dealing with regulators, CFPB, etc.
- Good knowledge of Consumer and Commercial credit risk concepts
- Detail oriented and well organized
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with executives
- Entrepreneurial and flexible mindset with demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-growth environment
