Director, C&I Market Strategy

The Director of C&I Market Strategy is responsible for shaping and promoting Q CELLS’s new corporate identity as a total Energy-as-a-Service provider in the Community, Commercial, Industrial (CCI) sector. This dynamic position requires a strategic communicator who can bridge the gap between internal objectives and external engagements, focusing on module and system (M&S) and distributed energy (DE) projects. This position will report to the Head of the C&I Division or other senior management personnel designated by the President of the Company. This position will be based out of our Irvine office, with an in-office schedule that is set at the direct manager’s discretion in accordance with the company policies and procedures. Remote options could be considered for exceptional cases.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to effectively convey Qcells’s transformation and positioning as an Energy-as-a-Service provider in the CCI sector.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and customers within the C&I division, serving as a primary point of contact for M&S and DE projects.
  • Collaborate closely with an external marketing agency, providing guidance and feedback to ensure the successful execution of marketing initiatives aligned with Qcells’s goals.
  • Oversee the creation of content that highlights Qcells’s capabilities in project development, energy consulting, and grid optimization.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets, industry influencers, and key stakeholders to enhance Qcells’s visibility and reputation.
  • Proactively identify and pursue opportunities for media coverage and positive external exposure while ensuring key messages and achievements in communications.
  • Serve as the communication channel for ES Marketing, ensuring internal teams are aligned with corporate messaging and goals.
  • Attend industry conferences and events to represent Qcells, actively participating in discussions relevant to the C&I sector and positioning the company as a thought leader in the industry.
  • Provide regular updates to internal teams on communication initiatives and successes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications and marketing, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
  • Familiarity with the solar energy industry, specifically in the Community, Commercial, Industrial (CCI) sector. Understanding of distributed energy solutions, project development, and grid optimization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving industry landscape, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
