We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to lead our day-to-day operational endeavors.
As we are currently entering our next development phase, your work will be pivotal for our growth! You will be working closely with our Head of Operations to build and implement the right processes and practices to help us scale. You will also be responsible for improving performance, procuring material and resources, analyzing data to bridge market gaps and securing compliance.

Thriving in this role requires you to be entrepreneurial with a fervent passion for innovation, excellent capacity in solving complex problems through deep analytical skills and modeling and the ability to charismatically collaborate seamlessly across all tiers of our organization.
- You have an outstanding academic background, preferably from a top engineering school or business school
- You have 3-5 years of experience in high-stakes positions where you demonstrated your entrepreneurial capabilities and your ability to work under pressure.
Bonus points if you have previous experience in a startup, consulting, or a role centered around biotech, agritech, geological exploration, chemistry or mining industry.
- You have developed management skills, and you have a track record of successfully managing projects with 2+ juniors.
- You have experience in navigating the challenges and nuances of transitioning from small-scale to large-scale operations
- You developed a robust analytical skill set and demonstrated profound curiosity and interest for highly technical topics
- You are hands-on, not afraid to get your hands dirty and willing to embrace challenges
- You are organized, have an entrepreneurial spirit, capable of managing complex and innovative projects
- You are open-minded, a team player, with an ego-free approach
Educational background
Master’s degree from an excellent engineering or business school
Essential skills
Fluency in English; Portuguese and French are a plus
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
Able to juggle between various responsibilities
Able to anticipate and mitigate unforeseen events and respond quickly to challenges
Nice to have
Experience in managing and working in diverse and international teams
Experience in a Climate tech, industrial scale-up or biotech start-up, but not required
Your role
At Genomines, your analytical, interpersonal, creative thinking, business management and leadership skills will be called upon from day one. You will be in the thick of the action as you work side-by-side with driven individuals wanting to challenge the status quo and instigate change.
You are responsible for the day-to-day business and the owner for key operational figures for the development of our industrial plants
You can lead, motivate, and support various teams within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including career development plans for direct reports and problem resolution
You will directly be at the heart of the action and go on our fields and industrial plants in various countries across the globe to establish operationally stable and scalable processes
You will drive the company's overall objectives and be the contact person for our local team and our local partners
You will manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service
You will streamline operations, drive the company's overall objectives and be the contact person for our local team and our local partners
