Terviva additionally launched a collaboration with Danone that illustrates a shared vision to improve the environmental outcomes of the food system by supporting regenerative farming practices that improve soil health, water quality and biodiversity, while also improving social and market outcomes.

Overview:

This position works directly with the F&A Manager on business financing and financial & planning analysis. This role will manage budgeting, accounting, predicting income and creating profit and loss statements. Budgeting and predicting sales and understanding unit economics will be an important part of this role, meaning candidates with strong financial and analytical skills will be preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops financial models related to potential growth scenarios with various business factors
  • Responsible for examining data, using their findings to guide business decisions
  • Analyse financial data and develop relevant financial models and cost models
  • Perform analysis of key business data and drivers, presenting, finding and recommendations
  • Responsible for preparing unit economics-based model (SKU level profitability, Customer profitability, transaction profitability etc.)
  • Assessing the strategic fit of a business by analysing all aspects of a transaction, assessing the projected synergies, project managing the deal cycle, assisting in negotiations, and conducting financial modelling
  • Provides analysis for forward-looking financial and business initiatives
  • Reviews business trends and past results and advises on opportunities to maximize company profits
  • Analyses variances in past or present performance and recommends improvements
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for senior stakeholders, providing valuable insights and support globally.
  • Assist in company planning cycle, including the long-range planning process, annual budget, and monthly/quarterly forecasting processes
  • Support Finance in areas of Automation and Analytics, contributing to planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting strategies.
  • Understand and highlight drivers of change within the financial results to facilitate strategic decision making
  • Closely manage and monitor all cost drivers and advise on incremental commitments towards budgeted spending
  • Be a thought leader and partner cross-functionally to drive operational efficiencies and strategic initiatives
  • Partner closely with the broader Finance and Accounting teams, proactively seeking opportunities to improve processes and forecasting accuracy across all areas of FP&A
  • Performs other duties as may be required from time to time.

Required Skills and Education:

  • CA or equivalent degree with minimum 7 years of experience in Business Finance role
  • Should have strong numerical, financial and modelling skills based on a well-developed understanding of financial statements
  • Should have sound commercial judgment and an ability to generate creative solutions to problems
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office (very strong skills in Excel)
  • Rigorous, reliable, adherence to timelines, well self-organized
  • Autonomy, Initiative, Curiosity
  • Ability to relate well with people to gain their help, co-operation (Teamwork).
  • Clear communicator - written and verbal.
  • Analytical - able to deal with detail but also summarize clearly.
  • Very good IT skills (MS office, Tally ERP, consolidation & reporting tools).
  • Passionate, open, straightforward, and effective
