Client Delivery Lead

Location: Somerville, Massachusetts (or Greater Boston Area)

The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and energy companies around the globe trust VIA to help them solve their data challenges. Using its Web3 platform, VIA enables real-time data verification, replicable integration, and privacy-preserving analysis of energy and environmental data.

As a Client Delivery Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing the entire lifecycle of our Web3 platform and solutions. This includes actively participating in pre-sales activities, collaborating with Sales and Delivery teams, and engaging in customer meetings to define project scopes and proposals. Your responsibilities extend to overseeing the seamless integration of our software into customers existing workflows, aligning with their goals, and ensuring optimal value delivery. The ideal candidate possesses a solid background in managing data-driven software products in large organizations.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate on pre-sales / pre-contracting engagements and assist with:
    • Scoping and forecasting customer needs
    • Presenting software demos
    • Defining solution and project design
    • Preparing proposals
  • Work closely alongside our C-suite individuals to interface with our most valued customers
  • Lead day-to-day customer engagement operations and act as the “go-to” person on our team to identify and articulate customer needs and pain points
  • Support multiple customer implementations or integrations effectively (i.e., ensure that timelines, client communication, and quality of work standards are being met), including:
    • Defining product strategy and constraints by working directly with customers and collaborating with internal stakeholders which includes technical team leads
    • Memorializing, in writing, meeting outcomes and subsequent steps to ensure the successful follow-up and / or propagation of new information across the entire team
    • Guiding the technical team using customer / stakeholder feedback to outline deliverables, make product decisions, and prioritize the team’s backlog
    • Managing customer expectations proactively throughout engagements, including identifying and responding to unexpected requests, events, or a change in focus that may arise throughout the implementation process
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes for our customers (such as how we structure our customer engagements, or more specifically successful deliverables and milestones)
  • Assist in strategizing and developing avenues for product expansion with current customers and collaborate with the sales and technical teams to support those opportunities
  • Participate in both the technical and commercial team product planning and roadmapping

What you will bring to this role:

  • Ideally a degree in engineering (software, mechanical, electrical, or other)
  • 3-5 years in a customer (internal or external) facing role in technology consulting or other related fields
    • Experience working with multiple senior stakeholders (working across both technical and commercial business functions)
    • A consistent track record of excellent client service and ‘on time’ delivery (managing projects with multiple processes and deliverables)
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to customer meetings (as required)
    • Ability to be flexible across different time zones to foster relationships with international customers
  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (Secret Level)
