The Role
Xos Inc is hiring a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to join our Business Development team and help us continue our growth trajectory. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for building and leading a world class sales team, setting sales targets, developing strategies, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve revenue and growth objectives. The successful candidate is passionate about electric vehicles and has a proven track record to talk about.
Responsibilities
- Plan for the success of account executives and sales targets in alignment with the strategies and policies of Xos
- Establish sales objectives by projecting expected sales volume and forecasting and developing sales quotas for territories and the region
- Keep current with economic indicators, changing trends, supply and demand and competitors to maintain sales volume and product mix
- Provide the necessary support to account executives to enable them to generate leads and close new deals
- Document customer interactions and maintain data related to activities and customers
- Organize training for new staff
- Participate in interviews and the process of recruiting new employees
- Contribute as an individual contributor by aggressively pursuing sales leads by cold calling on fleets, attending trade shows and events, and utilizing existing networks
- Demonstrate superior customer service by following up and engaging with customers, always keeping customer satisfaction top priority
- Effectively communicate with customers from initial call, through vehicle build and delivery
- Occasional travel to customer sites to conduct product demonstrations and to travel with account executives
- Meet sales quotas/KPI's, and utilize CRM to report back to management
- Take a consultative approach to selling by actively listening to the customer, understanding their needs, and offering solutions to their problems
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience selling commercial/heavy-duty trucks
- High school diploma/GED, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Genuine and coachable character with the ability to manage ambiguity, create processes and problem solve
- Prior sales or account management experience in a B2B environment preferred, transportation or industrial experience helpful.
- Demonstrated ability to build and nurture relationships and communicates effectively in a customer-facing role
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work cohesively within a team and work efficiently
- Proficient with CRM tools, G Suite products, data-driven, and analytical skills desired
- Drive and passion for the cleantech industry and company vision
- Excellent cold calling skills with strong phone etiquette
- Exceptional customer service, listening and sales skills with the ability to achieve sales goals
- Flexibility to travel as needed: 50%
