Role Overview

The RAMS Engineer (Hydrogen Infrastructure) supports the engineering team to ensure that our systems are safe and reliable in service and comply with applicable regulatory requirements. The primary focus of this role is our hydrogen infrastructure and aircraft refuelling systems, with secondary support on associated aircraft systems as necessary.

Responsiblities

    • Perform reliability assessments such as FMEA/FMECA, Availability Analysis, etc.
    • Perform safety assessments such as FHAs, FTAs, HAZOPS, etc.
    • Generate RAMS requirements for the product design teams and working collaboratively to ensure compliance.
    • Creating reasoned safety arguments for complex and novel systems and communicating these to relevant stakeholders
    • Act as an independent reviewer for safety and reliability-related documentation.
    • Understand the design and operation of hydrogen production, storage and aircraft refuelling systems in order to characterise potential failures and hazards using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
    • Specify, facilitate, and review RAMS tasks with component suppliers.
    • Develop or improve Safety and Reliability engineering plans and processes.
